Alterations, adjustments, and alliteration
PART ONE: GENERAL
September seems to be overwhelming me.
What with the new house, the new roomie, the loss of the old roomie, the new job, and the new job description at the old job, I think I have met and exceeded my change quota.
I hope that means I get a raise, or a gold star, or something.
But I know it doesn't.
Being an adult, it really does suck sometimes.
I keep hoping for some sort of affirmation that I'm doing this right, or, at the very least, that I will be all right. But apparently that is not a part of the deal. Or maybe that will come as I continue to build a community to call my own. Though that seems to be a little slow going. But I am making major steps to keep it going.
Where's a gold star when you need one?
SECTION DEUX: LODGING
My new place is great. It's a two bedroom garden suite with a huge living room, and a sun-filled kitchen (also huge). We have no backyard, but we are blessed with an outdoor courtyard (read: there is some cement outside, and we can fit a patio set out there). We, in this case, refers to me and my Large Australian Roomate (LAR). He is Large and Australian, and entirely too tall for the place, but he loves it even more than I do.
PART THREE: MY HEART
Is grounded for life.
