What is it about the summer

That makes me long for Toronto and my fine friends? Vancouver is a nice place, but it doesn't hold a candle to my Utopian Tdot*.

I have, subconsciously or otherwise, been trying to fill the Tdot void in my life in many ways.

  1. Obscene amounts of Kardinal Offishal and K-OS on repeat (to the poorly-veiled chagrin of my officemates).
  2. Numerous calls to my family during which neither of us have much left to say since we just talked four hours ago.
  3. Many emails to my current and former Tdot homies and cronies.
  4. Seven doodles of the distinct Toronto skyline blocked by a menacing Gardiner Expressway.
  5. Three readings of You Know You're from Toronto When .
  6. Two conversations about the 401, DVP, and general gridlock that befalls Toronto at all times, every. single. day.
  7. No less than forty-seven daydreams about My Fair City*.

*note the nostalgic, yet unnecessary cAPs.

The summer months are notorious

For a gross lack of posts here at the olde Green Mango Log.

I have little news to share with you. Except, hey, I might just get paid for that translation I did way back when. I finally emailed the company despite my partner's protests that they might sue us for a missed deadline and an unperfect imperfect product.

Also, I got some pretty good presents this week.

Thoughtful gifts from thoughtful people are worthy to sharing with the whole wide internet.

Shout outs to all who made my week special.
