*okay, so there seems to be a little confusion as to what all these forms are for. they are for nothing. i was just practicing my html. if you fill them in i won't even get your info. so just have fun. play around with it. click, and type to your heart's content!

**i lied i won't get to you shortly. why? see asterisked thingy above. if you'd like me to get to you shortly, send me an email, leave a comment, or lovingly toss a carrier pigeon out of your window. i promise i'll write back. :)

Graduate Studies in Unemployment

An Ode to Unemployment

Things I Did Yesterday That I Thoroughly Enjoyed and Could Not Have Done Had I Been Employed:

  • Went to the library to pick up an armload of XML books.

  • Bought a few "moving out" things at the GIANT Canadian Tire sale at the GIANT Canadian Tire store near by. I am now the proud owner of my own 40-piece cutlery set. That's right, service for eight. . . which means I can either have a lot of people over (once I get some plates, glasses, place mats, napkins, furniture, and, you know, a place to live) or I can put off washing the dishes for days at a time. Hopefully my social side will win out, and I won't have prolonged laziness for 500, Alex.

Ground Control to Major Tom

Testing, Testing. 1, 2, 3.

So, I'm trying this whole online diary thing out for two reasons. First, since I'm going away, this is a good way to make sure everyone knows what kind of trouble I'm getting in while I'm off on the West Coast

Also, I figure I should try to teach myself XML since I'm supposed to be a Technical Writer. And if I succeed in my quest to conquer XML I will not only be the best Techical Writer that ever lived, but also a fantastic self-motivator/teacher/insert something good here.

And, really, what else could anyone ask for?

Unfortunately, my current knowledge of XML is limited to the 5 minutes of XML tutoring that I remember from last year's crash course in fourth year Business Writing. Oh, well, isn't it expected that you forget most of what you've learned in school once you get out? Hopefully, as time goes by, you'll be able to see my fantabulous XML-related progess.

Anyway, on behalf of everyone here at Green Mango, I thank you for your patronnage and promise that my next entry will not have anything to do with mark-up languages of any ilk.

Sweet and Sour

I've (temporarily) given in to the push button editing craze. This is because a) my other site, though infinitesimally more useful for learning html and xml, does not allow image posting; and b) due to my current lack of skill in mark-up languages, my other site looks kinda ghetto; and c) until I have css down, it will continue to look ghetto.

Don't worry if all those acronyms didn't make any sense to you.

Just know that this site is for your viewing pleasure, my dear readers. And my other one is for the furtherance of my web-related education.

I'll repost the entries that I made on that site here. But if you wanna check out my html progress, take a look at this. If you go through the pages you can see just how far I've come in a few days.
